Composition Wars

About:
Composition Wars is an experimental personal project which explores the creation of procedural music and gameplay. Unlike most games on the market which generate gameplay elements from music, Composition Wars aims to achieve the opposite. The way in which a player chooses to play aids in the generation of an original composition. The player has indirect control over different unit types (currently named Bass and Treble). Each unit has 3 dispositions which have unique AI behavior and can only be controlled on a macro level. The magnitude of the action units take (rest/attack/move) is tied to the length of the beat played by that unit. My hope is that this game will push the possibilities of music generation through gameplay.
